FSS-Project
T.E.C.H. is currently an activity of Community
Partners®, a nonprofit charity exempt from
federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code and which is not a private foundation
because it is described in Sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a)(vi). Established
in 1990, Community Partners® was
conceived as a "foundation for emerging philanthropies," to
meet a growing need experienced by civic and social
entrepreneurs in Southern California for a structure
that would free them from administrative and fiscal
oversight burdens while they pursued their cause or
put into action their project.
