Desktop Publishing
Description: This is an intermediate class for students who want to gain more skills using Microsoft Word to create stationary items for personal and business use. Are you interested in making your own flyers, cards, stationary, or letterhead for your business? Want to learn how to use more of the features in Microsoft Word to format professional documents, or even design a customized T-shirt? In desktop publishing you’ll learn creative ways to design and create customized stationary. Participants must have completed the Intro to Computers/Internet courses or have basic computer skills.
Objective: Students will enhance their formatting and editing skills in Microsoft Office Word 2007 using designing stationary materials, and completing various print materials.
Lates & Absences: Class begins promptly at 1:00pm, please be on time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, it will be counted as an absence. If you know you will be absent or late, please tell your instructor in advance. If you have more than 2 unexcused absences, you will be in danger of losing your refund for completion of the class and/or risk to be enrolled in future classes with Project T.E.C.H
Projects & Assignments: There will be 5 or more projects assigned during the course. You must complete and turn in at least 75% of all assignments to the instructor to have successfully completed the course.
