Youth Programs

  • Distance learning and tech-based academic and college prep support through use of computers for completing school assignments and use of the internet for online research, use of online homework help and cybertutors, access to high school-level college prep courses (including AP courses), and mentoring.
  • Project-based activities for learning and enhancing skills, creativity, and self-expression. Software tools include Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash, CrazyTalk and more. Hardware tools include scanners, color printers, digital still and video cameras, and more.

ScienceQuest - Project T.E.C.H. served as a local site for ScienceQuest, a national science and technology exploration program for youth ages 10 through 14. This unique after-school program was developed by the Education Development Center, based in Boston Massachusetts, through a grant from the National Science Foundation
